Non Alcoholic Cocktails

Some people believe it is simply not a party unless you can have a drink in your hands. They believe the only way you can have fun is if you have enjoyed a few dirty martinis. There are some who simply do not enjoy drinking or cannot drink. They are sometimes made to feel silly because they are not drinking a dry white wine with friends. The good news is there are many options available to you in non alcoholic cocktails you can enjoy instead. The best part is they will look every bit like you are drinking alcoholic beverages.

First, take a look at the many different options you have when it comes to chocolate. Since there are so many different kinds of martinis which are popular you will be able to make up something which will be the envy of so many others. One option here is to add coconut or espresso to mix. You should also include a good amount of ice and possibly some water or milk depending on your tastes. Shake the whole thing up just like you were making a martini for James Bond and serve it in a cold martini glass.

Fruit juices make up another great option when making up something without alcohol. You can use a juice like pomegranate to mix with some lime juice and ginger ale. Garnish this with a lime and it looks like you are drinking a Cape Cod. You can also mix the pomegranate with lemon and cranberry juice. Shake with ice and you have another great looking martini which will be sure to turn heads. The great part about drinking this type of cocktail is it is a very heart healthy drink. This is because of all the anti-oxidants which are found in these juices.

Take a French twist on your approach to non alcoholic cocktails and you will find something which is truly special. This can be accomplished through many of the herbs they use in many dishes as well as in the beverages they prefer to drink. You will not miss a glass of dry wine when you create something like Lavender Lemonade. All you have to do is boil equal weights of water and sugar to create simple syrup. Pour this over dry lavender (About a tablespoon per gallon of water) and allow to steep until syrup cools. Drain the syrup through a coffee filter and add in lemon juice and vanilla to taste. Garnish a tall cool glass with a slice of lemon and fresh lavender.

As you can see there are many different ways you can enjoy non alcoholic drinks. These are just a few variations you can try. As you get into the practice of finding and using the different recipes out there you will start to come up with your own. You may even have a party where there is nothing but virgin cocktails. Until then you can explore and share with friends and family. You will enjoy the journey.
