Non Alcoholic Cocktails For Children

Learn Some Easy Steps To Creating Non Alcoholic Cocktails For Children.

Non Alcoholic Cocktails For Children

The biggest challenge most people have when they are planning a party is what they will serve children. Many people believe it is okay to simply serve the children a soda. This is no fun for the children as they watch all the adults walk around with a screwdriver or a martini. If you would like for the children to feel important and to keep them from wanting to drink real alcohol, you should come up with some fun non alcoholic cocktails for children. With a little effort you will come up with some drinks even the parents will want.

The first thing to keep in mind when approaching mixed drinks for children is that they like sweet and sour. Many do not want something that will look like a White Russian unless you are able to make it into a blender drink. Go for drinks which will have some color to them and you are sure to have a combination any child will enjoy drinking. Try to also have fun cups which the children can have their drinks in. Just because you do not want to give them glass does not mean they have to drink from a disposable plastic cup. Make it fun.

The Kiddie Martini

The majority of party supply stores sell a plastic martini glass. This is a great way for you to create something which the children will enjoy and you will not have to worry about having one of your nice glasses broken. A good drink for this is the Lemon Drop. This is perfect because it is little more than lemonade. The fun part for the children is the way you will shake it up right before their eyes like they are James Bond or something. Simply mix together lemon juice, sugar, water and ice. Shake and pour.

Converting Shots

There are certain shots you might like to serve to your guests, but you want for the children to be able to enjoy something similar. One shot which is fun for adults yet easy to replicate for children is the rattlesnake. This is a drink which normally has Bailey’s, Kahlua and Crème de Cacao in it. These are flavors which can be found in the Italian syrups as well as the syrups which are sold for coffee. Simply layer in the syrups like you would a regular rattlesnake shot and you are sure to have something which the children will enjoy.

Frozen Delights

Most children enjoy a good slushy. This is why you need to have some kind of blender drink on your list. You can buy the daiquiri mix from the store without the alcohol in it. This way all you have to do is add the mix to ice in a blender and you can create something which is fun and festive at the same time. Frozen non alcoholic drinks for children can also serve as a base for drinks you can serve to the rest of your guests. Simply add alcohol.
